Helping Others Help Themselves
Refugees, immigrants and low-income individuals all deserve the opportunity to start and own successful small businesses, yet too many are unable to transform their dreams into a reality.
At the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC), Enterprise Development Group (EDG), we understand that many individuals face challenges obtaining conventional bank financing.
We can help.
EDG, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, aims to assist entrepreneurs in achieving and realizing America’s promise of opportunity, by providing them with the necessary access to financing that is often required to start or optimize their own small business.
Serving as a bridge toward self-sufficiency for individuals residing throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, we provide refugees, immigrants and low-income community members’ with access to loan capital and help improve their general business skills.
As part of our diverse range of beneficial programs, we offer educational programs that focus on the fundamental aspects of operating a small business, how to create a viable business plan, tax planning, marketing and many other essential advisory services.
